Immerse yourself in 3 full days of Argentine Tango music, dance and Culture. This is a weekend for “tangonatics”, enthusiastic dancers and brave new comers.

Our fabulous festival will be held at the majestic Senate Garage (4 N Front Street, Kingston, NY) located in the Stockade District of the Historic Kingston NY, first capital of New York.

Easy and extensive parking, easy commute, accommodations near by, many lovely cafes and restaurants 1 minute walk.

We have planned 3 programs to suit every level of expertise.

~10am-6pm: Master Classes, All levels, Absolute beginner lessons, Practice sessions, Music interpretation and Analysis of music and orchestration. Technique and mind blowing experiences!

~ Silent Practica Friday & Saturday 12:30 – 2pm

~ Afternoon Practicas 2 – 5pm
~ Milongas 8pm – 2am.

  • 20% up to April 1st

  • No Refunds after April 1st.

PROGRAM / SCHEDULE:Full or daily pass holders are registered to all workshops automatically. We have guests on waiting list, so we will appreciate you telling us which workshops you won’t take, so we can offer that spot to others.
Upon arrival you will receive a hard copy of the schedule to plan your weekend in detail. No need to print it at home.

WORKSHOPS DYNAMICS: in order to make the best of your experience and others.

  • Arrive 5 minutes before your class starts.
  • Those who registered for beginner / intermediate level keep in mind workshops listed in Blue are not in your pass.

  • Those who bought an advanced pass and you are not ready for the level you might be asked to switch to a session appropriate for your level. Or you can stay as a spectator.

  • Couples who are not at the level of the workshop will stay together and not rotate.

  • Rotations in workshops will be suggested by the instructors but are not mandatory.

PRACTICAS:

  • No rules or expectations. However, practicing codes will be to your advantage.

  • An act of kindness goes a long way…. Make someone’s day, ask them to dance if they have not.

  • Bring comfortable shoes with smooth soles. Dance socks if you have them.

MILONGAS, WHAT TO EXPECT:
Read it all…. and read it slowly.

  • COAT CHECK: for everyone’s comfort leave your coat and bags at the coat check upon arrival.  Aim to come to the Milongas as light of things as possible. There is no storage space and for safety, we cannot stuff corners with bags and luggage. Also, It helps you to not leave things behind.  Coat-check service based on tips, so your gratuity will be very appreciated. (Applies for Friday & Saturday only).

  • CODES: During the Milonga please follow Milonga codes (printed and set on tables and entrance) MILONGA CODES TO APPLY CLICK HERE 
  • RESERVED SEATING: please let us know if you are coming with a group and we will seat you together if possible.We prioritize Full, Daily and Milonga passes holders. Email us, we will do our best.
  • DANCE MIXERS: Have fun. You will be encouraged to play with us and be part of the dance mix to welcome everyone and meet new people.
  • FLOORS / FOOTWEAR Bring comfortable shoes with smooth soles but keep in mind the venue’s floor is a fast floor (so it can be slippery for some of you). .
  • FOOD: Although dinner is not served we provide a few bites along the night to help your spirit and good mood!

  • DRINKS: Soft drinks will be available all night (water, limonad, seltzer etc). Wine will be provided 9pm until 1 hour before the event closes). BYOB is NOT PERMITTED in the venue, unless non-alcoholic, please comply.

DRESS CODE

  • WORKSHOPS: Maintain good personal Hygiene, have handy deodorant, mints, face towel etc. Bring an extra t-shirt / shirts to change throughout the day. Check the weather forecast, be prepared for rain or sunshine. Please,
  • FRIDAY MILONGA’s dress Code: Business Casual / Cocktail Attire. Jeans, T-shirts, sweatpants, gym clothing are NOT allowed.  No exceptions!
  • SATURDAY GALA MILONGA’s dress Code: Well, the word “Gala” gives it up: Please dress your best. Jeans, T-shirts, sweatpants, gym clothing are NOT allowed.  No exceptions!  It is a special night and you are the star!
  • SUNDAY TANGO TEA PARTY’ s dress code:: Be colorful. Have Fun.

PARKING

  • The streets surrounding both festival locations have street metered parking (Free after 6pm).
  • FREE PARKING at the Kingston Plaza. (only 1.5 blocks away) Address: 151 Plaza Rd, Kingston, NY 12401
  • For practicas at the Church Street Parking might be limited if weather permits park at the plaza and walk 10 minutes.
  • There is a municipal parking lot (21 N. Front St), half a block from the Senate garage.  Hourly fee- 75 cents per hour through parking pay station. Pay by coin. Pay by credit card. Pay by Whoosh! mobile app (35 cent transaction fee required).
RIDE / lift:
